To evaluate the changes before and after hippotherapy, joint ROM, muscle power and spasticity. Gross Motor Function Measure (GMFM) and WeeFim were used for evaluation of gross motor function and activities of daily living. In 26 children out of 29 children, there was increase in total GMFM score (mean increase; 3.3). In 14 children who can walk independently, GMFM Dimension E scores increased significantly and in 14 children who cannot walk independently, GMFM Dimension A and B scores increased significantly. Children with diplegia showed more increase in score of GMFM Dimension D than those with quadriplegia. Hippotherapy and should be considered as a therapeutic method for medical rehabilitation of children with CP.
